Dear USA,

Intersex people are not rare mythical creatures. We are still people. We also deserve reproductive rights as many of our sex organs are modified without consent at birth. My mother wasn’t even told certain sex organs of mine were going to be removed, they lied and said I had hernias. This has caused a lot of hormonal and reproductive issues that I will live with for the rest of my life. I know my story isn’t unique.

Don’t forget about us when you’re fighting for male and female reproductive rights.

we’re talking 1 in 100 people depending on some criteria, and for others, about 1 in 66.

whenever i get an essay assignment i immediately go “how can i work a feminist and anti capitalist rant into this”

How about focus on the fucking essay and not make everything about your passions? You don’t see me making a rant about whales in every fucking essay I get.

i study sociology and politics, its always relevant you fucking weirdo. go fuck a whale or something.

TUMBLR PROF ANNOUNCEMENT: If you are trans or nonbinary and you are in the same situation as the student above, email your professors before class starts. I understand that it might be uncomfortable, but generally professors are absolutely happy to accommodate you. I know I always will be!
If your professor does not respond positively, contact the Dean or the campus LGBT+ resource center with a copy of the email and show them that you are concerned about gender discrimination in the classroom.

Also this is a link to the template I used to write this email, and I’ve seen another similar template going around, and this was extremely helpful.
